Summer at the Walker

Offering the chance to play mini-golf, to explore the art of Keith Haring, a talented man know for sharing the belief that art is for everybody, and a variety of free events that include panels discussing a multitude of topics, Summer at the Walker is different every year. The Sculpture Garden is in bloom during these summer months, so take some time to enjoy the beautiful weather as you explore the sculptures and the flowers that make this outside area serene and tranquil.

The Idea House

The Idea House is where ideas bloom, offering how to books, artistic furniture, design elements and so much more for guests to purchase and perhaps learn from. Separate from their gift shop, which we definitely recommend stopping in on your way out, the Idea House may be your favorite part of your art center adventures.

The Walker Cinema

The Cinema is where artistic magic is made, showing documentaries about art, television, and so much more.

The Walker Stage

Original performances in dance, music, theater, and others make their mark on the Walker Stage.

Skyline Mini Golf

We briefly mentioned the miniature golf in the Summer at the Walker Paragraph, but it deserves a second mention, especially as Skyline Mini Golf takes place on the rooftop of the Walker, offering panoramic views and “obstacles” designed by artists for an innovative twist to one of our favorite games.

Although the museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, the Walker restaurant, Cardamom, is open every day of the week from 11 AM until 9 PM, serving a yummy selection of Mediterranean favorites, including hummus, lamb burgers, and a fusion of Germany and the Mediterranean, their fried eggplant schnitzel!
