Cabins in Minnesota: The Best Twin Cities MN Trails

Though much of the Midwest is full of flat prairie lands and vast stretches of farm fields, the Southeast area of Minnesota boasts unique landscapes. You will see beautiful bluffs lining lush river valleys, sparkling lakes, hidden waterfalls, and stretches of forest land that offer an array of exciting sites and activities. When you stay with Minnestay, discover our cabins in Minnesota and get ready to explore the surrounding terrains that provide phenomenal hiking and adventures through nature.

MN State Parks and Natural Areas

Minnesota has an abundance of natural areas and MN State Parks that offer a wide variety of scenery that will take your breath away. Whether you are looking for a fantastic place to hike, birdwatch, or simply enjoy a slice of nature, you can find it with MN State Parks and MN trails. Theodore Wirth State Park is full of incredible experiences. From disc golf to biking and hiking, there is no shortage of exciting things to do at this park. Lebanon Hills Regional Park is located south of the Twin Cities and is full of incredible hiking as well as lakefront areas that are perfect for taking a dip to cool off during your hikes. The trails at Lebanon Hills are also fantastic for cross country skiing and snowshoeing during the winter months. For shorter hikes, head to the city of Richfield to the Wood Lake Nature Center. With paved or limestone trails and boardwalks, this three-mile jaunt is perfect for families and is wheelchair accessible so that everyone is able to enjoy the beauty of the area.

Hiking Trails in Minneapolis

When it comes to hiking trails in Minneapolis and the St Paul area that are nearby our cabins in Minnesota, there are far too many to list. A couple of our Twin Cities favorites are loops such as Battle Creek Loop and Jensen Lake Trail. Both of these trails are just over 2 miles long and are great for any level of experience. Enjoy waterfront views on Jensen Lake Trail as it loops around the water’s edge in a full circle. Battle Creek Loop is known for being family-friendly as well as dog-friendly so that you can take your four-legged friend along on a leash for an outing everyone can enjoy together. There are many other trails throughout the area as well. Minnehaha Falls, Carver Lake Park Loop Trail, and many more also offer fantastic hikes that will bring you through some of the most stunning areas around the Twin Cities.
